Classic 400 Yellow filter
Black-and-white photographers screwed coloured glass onto their lenses to choose which colours turned dark. B&W Camera does the same with your iPhone's colour sensor, using the same maths you just played with above. Nothing is guessed after the fact: what you see in the viewfinder is the photo you get.
Looks. Six film stocks, from fine-grained Fine 100 to Infra 800.
Filters. Yellow, orange, red, green and blue, previewed live.
Manual. ISO, shutter speed and zone focus for the street.
Review. Every frame with the look and settings it was shot with.
iPad · iPadOS 18+
The same camera runs on iPad. The viewfinder fills the screen, so you can judge tones and frame a scene the way a large-format photographer reads the ground glass. Looks, filters and manual control are all there, and Pro carries over on the same Apple Account.

Yes. The free download includes the Classic 400 and Fine 100 looks, the yellow filter, grain and exposure control. Pro adds four more looks, every colour filter, manual control, colour RAW and higher resolutions.
A colour filter changes which colours turn light or dark grey. A red filter makes a blue sky almost black and clouds stand out; a green filter lightens leaves; a yellow filter darkens the sky a little and keeps skin natural.
With Pro, colour RAW saves a colour DNG negative next to every black and white photo, so you can develop it again later.
Yes. B&W Camera runs on iPhone with iOS 18 or later and on iPad with iPadOS 18 or later, with the same looks, filters and manual controls. One Pro purchase works on both when you use the same Apple Account.
Any iPhone with iOS 18 or later. 24 and 48 MP capture is available with Pro on iPhones whose camera supports it.
